I monitor the first layers to be sure and do so small adjustment if for some reason I notice something slightly miscalibrated. Once it does that then you can lower it manually and adjust the z offset. I have calibrated it several times using different methods and get the nozzle being 1.3 mm lower than the BLTouch pin so a Z offset of -1.3 mm. This works fine for auto homing, bed levelling and using code G1 Z0 to lower to where needed.

WebEvery time I do a print, the nozzle prints several millimeters above the bed and obviously nothing sticks. So I monkeyed with the z-offset until it was adjusted, @ -2.40. On my next print, the nozzle crashed into the bed and scratched the hell out of while jizzing plastic everywhere. I changed z-offset to -1.80 then recreated the mesh.
