The only “rule” about the .38-55 I can pass on is to anneal your case mouths every 3 to 5 loadings, especially since you will be crimping for the tubular magazine. No more split case mouths after 5-7 loadings.

It is my powder of choice for 270-300 grain bullets in my .44 carbines and for 300 grainers in my .460. Never had that much luck with it in .357 or with light for caliber bullets.
